The ‘Paint The Town Proud’ heritage initiative is
providing a cross-generational and extensive programme of visual artwork and impactful multimedia that combines creative technologies such as digital design and photography alongside community-led murals and street art.
The entire mural is the very first panel of an imaginary comic book that relays the very basis of the story of the founding of Grimsby, with the wording in the top lefthand corner setting the scene.
The Vikings are coming from the east, to the location of Grimsby on the Humber estuary coast in their droves… and the Dock Tower silhouette skyline mysteriously shows that these buildings have been here since the dawn of time…
