Recorded at the 'Underdog Arts' studio based in 'The Comeback' on Abbey Walk in Grimsby, our first episode introduces the project, the artists involved and what the project means for the art and heritage  community in Grimsby.

Episode 2

Three Day Millionaire 

To honour Great Grimsby weekend, we have released Episode 2 in our Memory Lane podcast.


Host Molly Charnley and co-host Becky Darnell are joined in the studio by film director Jack Spring and actor Michael Kinsey to chat about upcoming film 'Three Day Millionaire' which is set and filmed in Grimsby and pays homage to the towns rich fishing history.

Episode 3

Villains and the Supernatural

Molly and Becky are joined in the studio by urban spray artist and musician Rob Distant (In Vision Artisans) and local occult expert Jack Scott to chat about stories of reported haunting scenes, the great theft of Girl Pat trawler and one of Grimsby’s most renowned fisherman Bunny ‘The Beast’ Newton.

Episode 4

The Mariners

With a history as rich and varied as Grimsby Town Football Club, this episode covers the ups and down's of the club and looks into it's promising future with one of GTFC's most dedicated fans and Mariners Trust board member Kristine Green and GTFC muralist Kevin Atkins.

Episode 5

West Marsh Memories

Former Mayor of North East Lincolnshire and Author of the 'Girl on the Marsh', Jane Hyldon-King is in the studio to share her memories and stories of the West Marsh. Joined by Artist Andy Pea who is the lead artist for the West Marsh mural, hosts Molly and Becky learn all about growing up on the marsh in the 60's and 70's and the inspiration behind the second in the series of large scale artworks to celebrate Grimsby's heritage.

Fantasy, Myths and Legends - Grim and Havelock

This episode, we travel deep into the folklore of our town and exploring the mythology surrounding its founding with local occultist, ceremonial magician and student of the supernatural, Jack Scott. Joined by Artist Dale Mackie and hosts Molly and Becky.

Grimsby Streets

Molly and Becky are joined by local historian, journalist and author Emma Lingard and artist Sarah Palmer (House with the Blue Door) to look into the history of Grimsby’s street names and seeing what they tell us about our town.

With knowledge and memories spanning decades, Steve fills us in on stories of The Regal Theatre and the legendary street parties of Hope Street.
