About Andy

Andy's been a practising artist/producer for over 25 years in the public, commercial and private sector producing work in the UK and Europe.

 

Working as a fine artist in a studio environment delivering large scale murals for the public and commercial sector and a whole load of creative work in between.

A painter by default, his practice has developed though a playful and inquisitive mind and has taken him into residencies, the community arts sector, to working in soundscapes, film and radio.

Diversity and collaboration, play and participation in projects are key to his working practice allowing for fresh and innovative outcomes.

His passion is to transform public spaces with site-specific, uplifting, hand-painted murals that bring vibrancy and beauty to the community.


Art, in its many forms, is connected to the community. Art serves to enrich the physical, economic, social and cultural elements of any community.

Achievements

In between commissions and the community art projects/ residencies Andy has been involved on the production team of a number of key projects for the Freedom Festival, Hull 2017 Team, Hull City Council and Kingston Art Group.

This has given him the opportunity to work with international artists on truly inspirational art projects, creatively designing and delivering promotional work for public and private sector to negotiating, designing and delivering a studio and gallery space for Kingston Art Group.
